Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their service vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted multiple vans pink to fundraise for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a large number of families who are grappling with this disease, and that means there’s an immediate need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for women and men.”
